Transparent like the president

So there I was hanging out with Jackal. We were chatting about this and that while I photographed, and I mentioned that I was checking to see that I hadn't screwed anything up. "You need a checklist," she joked.

"Yeah, like are my jewelry prims showing up? Check. Are my ears resized? Check. Any prims going through other prims? No? Check. Does the pose screw up my torso fabric? No? Check." These are all mistakes I've totally made in the past! Blogging once a day, every day, for the past three years means that I've made about that many mistakes. It's all learning!

So Miss Jackal got me this nice to-do clipboard, which she said I shoudl wear with a pair of really big glasses. Hence, this look. My little pants are new from Honey Kitty, as is my necklace. The necklace and glasses are color-changing!

Sangre Gras?

Last night I caught the last few moments of the Illusions Mardi Gras ball, just in time to see the king and queen crowned. Siyu was kind enough to give us presents -- this mask and hat and some beads too. I love Mardi Gras, and I love the thought that Siyu puts into it each year.

You can't keep an old blogger down

Oh, the things I do to SL. This morning, while not having my MacBook Pro, I loaded SL onto our Mac Mini media server. The graphics card is crap on it, so poor Acha walked around like an 8-bit for a while. Then I photographed on a PC and edited in Gimp. This makes Acha a grumpy panda, but at least all of my 50L Friday stuff is awesome. 50L Friday: Jewelry by League, dress by Katat0nik, skin and ears by Plastik. The hair is new from Calico Ingmann Creations. But hey, my MBP returns today - !!

A lot happened today that I did not mention at all

O hi. Tonight I'm wearing the boy version of yesterday's beautiful new boots -- Lassitude & Ennui's Highland Boots in low-heel. I'm also wearing the same hair and makeup as yesterday, and of course it suits my avatar no matter how many or few Xcite dicks. (You heard me. Nobody reads my drivel anyway.) The hair is beautiful new and long down my back by Calico Ingmann Creations, and the makeup is by Lillian Shippe. I think the gold feathery eyeshadow is totally Elven. (Everybody go buy Jackal's boots, mkay? Because they're beautiful.)

I want my MBP

This is day 100 of no MacBook Pro. Just kidding, but I didn't realize how much I depended upon it for talking to old friends... hanging out in SL... looking at blogs and the news... listening to music. Bah, I want the neural implants already. Instead, I'm being like Elusyve and blogging the photo that I took for the Gos Curvaceous Contest. I didn't win, hell no, the ones that won were UBER GREAT. But I'm reasonably proud of the vibe of this photo. "Lingerie-clad nurse stares at kneeling patient, informing him that he's dropped his glasses." Or, you know, something. The corset is from Schadenfreude, the undies and such from Katat0nik, the skin from Exodi, and the boots from Gos. I liked putting together a bunch of different ideas and seeing if it worked.

PCs have the illusion of CTR

Argh, I'm blogging from my husband's PC. This is harder than it looks, especially when my little fingers keep wanting to hit MAC keyboard shortcuts. Minimizing the screen and pulling up some damned menu whenever I hit the thing between control and Alt is NOT what I was after, goddamnit. Anyway, this is the outfit I had on before my Mac got water damaged. I'm sure you've seen the boa and face glitter already from Oh My Stars-o-rama. It's awesome. The bootses are by Lassitude and Ennui, and are more lickable than this PC makes them look. I get my little Mac back in a few days (I hope), but tonight was definitely a learning experience... Also, thank you to Berry Singh for talking me through the rough patches, like "How the f*** do you rebake?!?"
