Hair Fair: Calico Ingmann Creations (post #0009)

I think I'm in love with the lush vintageness of this hair from Calico Ingmann Creations, the Temira. It has a beautiful pincurl, and I thought it was pretty when I put it on. Then I clicked the pincurl to resize the hair and got a retexture option… Lo, there are gorgeous rockabilly streaks throughout the curl and down the ponytail, and the options are almost as vast as Calico's normal hair textures. That pose I'm in… It's from a new posemaker named Don't Ask Don't Tell. But I'll ask AND tell -- the store will be launched shortly, and the posemakers behind it are none other than the talented Elusyve and Gidge. I am absolutely loving the boy hair from Shag this Hair Fair. This one is called Animal Nitrate, and it seemed to go well with a scruffy-looking boy Berry and some amazing shoes from Shop Sei. Look at our feet, everyone. Those are some awesome "tongs"! In this post, I think it's so cute that we swapped styles. Berry's in my choice of stores -- Shop Sei and NinikoBoy for her scruffy skater pants. And I'm in her choice of store, Zaara for the jeans. The kicker is that we didn't even do this consciously! My daughter is making those bored Saturday noises so I'm off the computer shortly, but this post pertains to a few things… Ingenue has a beautiful new outfit out named Falling Autumn, pants and a zippered sweater tube top with that unique cowl around the neck. I love the cheekiness of it, perfect for keeping the arms just a little goosebumpy in the Autumn chill. (Or so I imagine. None for us for months.) And lo, it was Hair Fair. I am in the new LionHeart "The Sun in my Eyes" skin from Plastik, another fine sexy-fantasy outfit from Ezura, and hair -- oh right hair -- from Tekeli-li. I always love how they script their hair. It isn't "click and change me" -- it's a beautiful and byzantine incantation that usually begins with /33. There are four (five?) new offerings from Tekeli-li at the Hair Fair, and I love them all, especially the freebie that looks like Sokka's ponytail from Avatar: The Last Airbender. My boy avatar says, hello and almost welcome to HAIR FAIR. I do so love Hair Fair (which runs from Sept. 4 - 19). I give so many props to the hard-working desigers who sit around carefully moving long strands of prims -- it would drive me nuts, which is why I buy hair instead of making it myself. I wanted to post in one of Curio Obscura's new hairs as my first post, but the boy avatar paused and beckoned me over to the Rock Candy folder. "Pst. Do this one." Not only is the hair unisex and cute in a J-rock bishounen kind of way, but it's tailored for my shape. That's right, Acha's shape is a modified version of a Rock Candy shape, which is why the hair suits it so well. Thanks to Miss Lillian for the idea! (Are you ready for hair fair?)

See that pretty woman? I ran into her on my way to Schadenfreude to pick up the new wonderful aligator corset she's made, and the new group gift. Alle is wearing the gift, those two awesome spiral horn earrings. They have a color hud, of course, but the green matches the new corset perfectly. (SLURL to Schadenfreude for the swag!)

Allegory also teased me about the flowers in her hair. "This is by Melatonin. It isn't out yet, and when it is, it'll be for something special." Damn. I love and hate mysteries!

Impeccable logic, I wish I were Vulcan

I wanted an outfit that suited this amazing new Amaterasu skin from Pink Fuel -- something futuristic yet tribal, as if Geiger and Ghost in the Shell had a baby. I had to go to Bare Rose for that, of course, and I found just what I was looking for. Amaterasu is the Japanese sun goddess, and these are her eyes, really… I suspect that my cute futuristic combat doll avatar here thought it would frighten the enemy.
