Boots with bling

Continuing my fixation with boots with stuff on them, here's a pair that I found while trekking around Mooncat Izumo on the recent treasure hunt. These boots have it all! Copper plates to protect you from stray pebbles, little rabbit heads whose ears have bubbling vials of plutonium, even bling! I removed the bling, but there might be something to be said for evil blinging bunny eyes staring out from your calves.

These are truly post-apocalyptic cute, the perfect outfit for watching Akira or Last Exile. My drow says she'd rather watch Wolf's Rain, for, you know, the violent gory bits.

yesh!!!! Good to hear you managed to get the bling out... could you remove it from the prim, or did you use the kill bling script?

Thanks for your help earlier, grazia! Jackal Ennui was kind enough to ferret out the bit with the bling (the bunneh's left eye) and remove it for me. I believe she also used a kill script.

Bling is generally accomplished with particles- particles persist past deleting the script (as do a couple of other things, including hovertext and sit targets), they also need to have a script inserted in the offending prim to kill them.

default {
state_entry()
{
llParticleSystem([]);
}
}

I wonder how strong the bling is? Those boots would *almost* be a reason to wear something with a little bling on them.... ;)

@Allegory: So the script I used for killing hovertext also works on bling?

Hovertext is killed with an empty llSetText instead:

default {
state_entry()
{
llSetText("",<0,0,0>,0);
}
}

It's that both of these attributes persist past the deletion of the script that set them (which was reeeealy confusing the first time I ran into it).
