Today, I am Japanese Sim Barbie. I first encountered MoonCat Izumo quite by accident, surfing from a LicoLico mall shop to the main store. I stopped and stared at the whimsical architecture, and then I grinned at the famous cat. You know the one, it's like a couch -- you lie on it, and it wiggles its ears and tail and somehow you feel relaxed even though it's just your avatar getting a whole-body purr.
Have you noticed that? Sometimes, if my avatar is relaxing, I totally get a second-hand relaxation buzz.
The clothing there was excellent too. The MoonCat sim's creator, Kumin Kohime, makes glorious stuff (colorful loli dresses that would be the fodder for any young girl's fairy fantasy), and also has several vendors that offer fine whimsical clothes. I got suckered into Mare*Dress and purchased something black that I've loved ever since.
Recently I've been feeling stressed because of schoolwork, and a friend suggested that I get myself off to a Japanese sim. I went back to MoonCat and spotted this frock at Mare*Dress. Now I'm all ready for Valentine's Day! -- Oh, wait.
-- Speaking of the moon, did anyone see the lunar eclipse last night? The red wash of color over the moon was so cool... My husband and I noticed that the moon looked more three-dimensional than usual with a shadow on it.
